Mayor of Nil?ffer proposed to work out and implement a relevant project for Mykolaiv in the sphere of sports and culture

Mayor of Nilüfer is going to work out and implement a relevant project for Mykolaiv, but what exactly this is going to be, Mr. Mustafa Bozbey will be ready to talk about after negotiations with our city.

Such proposal Mr. Mustafa Bozbey has made Mykolaiv delegation during the meeting on Wednesday, March, 28.

We remind that the delegation is going to visit Nilüfer from March, 27 till March, 31. The meetings of mayor of Nilüfer with Mykolaiv delegation are accompanied by mayor’s assistants and consul of the General Consulate of Ukraine in Istanbul Mr. Yurii Hrynevetskyi. 

“This project should be useful and interesting for both cities. We can arrange a project in the field of sports or culture but it could be any other sphere at all”, - said mayor of Nilüfer Mr. Mustafa Bozbey.

We inform that Mykolaiv deputies and City Council employees have arrived to Bursa to present to the mayor of Nilüfer Mr. Mustafa Bozbey park project, which the city of Mykolaiv is going to create and locate on the territory of embankment.

Mayor of Nilüfer Mr. Mustafa Bozbey admitted that hadn’t been to Mykolaiv for a long time and missed the city, that’s why he was glad to meet Mykolaiv delegation. Also mayor said, that he is looking forward to visiting Mykolaiv:

“I guess Mykolaiv has changed by now very much. I hope to see these positive changes…”.

Deputy of the City Council Kyrylo Gorburov thanked the mayor of Nilüfer for the warm reception of Mykolaiv delegation and admitted that only a partner city can demonstrate its real friendly attitude to Ukraine in such a manner, and presented a gift – a mace, which is a symbol of great strength of power.

“We know about the priorities of Turkish people, about religion and honor Turkish traditions. We are sure that you also know some Ukrainian traditions good, so we ask to accept this mace from us, which as you know, symbolizes hero’s achievements and a great strength of power. You are a powerful nation. Let your power strength never leaves you.

Turkish nation surprises by its great success, strict principles and law-abidingness. We are admired by your principles to be loyal to democracy, it seems to be one of the reasons of tight brotherly relations between Turkey and Ukraine.

For us, Mykolaiv citizens, it’s a great honour to count on the help of a partner city, which has strengthened our union by creation of park in the honour of Mykolaiv mayor Mr. Volodymyr Chayka. From our part we will try to restart the process of the park creation in our city in the honour of Nilüfer. We’d like to show that we value our friendship very much” – said Kyrylo Gorburov during the solemn part of the meeting, also delegation has brought karavai (bread) and Ukrainian towel from Mykolaiv as a gift to the mayor of Nilüfer in memory of the meeting with a partner city.

Deputy Vladyslav Yentin told that Bursa and Mykolaiv cooperate one with another in social and sports sphere:

“Being in Bursa we feel like home. Only sea separates us”. 

Deputy of the City Council Oleksiy Liepishev, talking to the mayor of Nilüfer, underlined that for Mykolaiv there are lots of things, the city can implement by the example of Turkey, which develops in the sphere of economy:” Maybe will find some interesting projects in the area of medicine. For our city that will be a real progress. It’s also useful to find out, how Nilüfer deals with issues of transport and housing and communal services. It doesn’t matter whether we run for the next elections to the City Council, we need to work out such a document, which will let to strengthen our friendship in the future and implement relevant new programmes for our cities.

Head of informational policy and foreign affairs division of mayor’s department of the City Council Mykyta Kozyrenko, talking about realization of Nilüfer local authorities policy, admitted that Mykolaiv will learn to manage the city by the example of Mr. Mustafa Bozbey’s work policy, and transferred best regards from Mrs. Tetiana Kazakova:” I’d like to transfer best regards from the acting mayor of Mykolaiv-secretary of the City Council Mrs. Tetiana Kazakova. She treats with a great respect to your initiative concerning cooperation of Nilüfer with Mykolaiv”.

Also Mykyta Kozyrenko added that international relations are priority for Mykolaiv, because there are reforms and programmes, which may be implemented on the territory of Mykolaiv on the basis of the other perspective cities experience (according to the legislation of Ukraine and regulations of partner cities).

For example, this maybe the programme on rehabilitation for Antiterrorist operation participants and for children from low income families. Georgia has already agreed to hold the recovery programme for children-orphans. We ask you to regard the possibility of reception such kind of population for recreational purposes”.

The mayor of Nilüfer replied, that this issue may be concerned after development of the project strategy for sure. 

During the meeting Mr. Mustafa Bozbey told the guests, that Nilüfer is the 3rd city according to population in Bursa province (about 400 thous. of people), and in Bursa – about 3 mln. But Nilüfer population increases 5% annually. 

Our district is new, but at the same time – old. First population of Nilüfer appeared 825 years ago. Nilüfer is the center of sports and culture, science and arts. Also it’s called the center of social living”.

It’s worth to admit that Mr. Mustafa Bozbey has been holding mayor’s position for 19 years.

For two more days the mayor of Nilüfer will hold meetings with the deputies and Mykolaiv City Council employees.
